can anyone tell me how far above the pocket on the uniform jacket the para wings have to be?  thanks!  :)

Search it under "Dress Regulations"

But I believe the stem of the leaf is 1 cm above the pocket, medals or ribbons.

(edit to note: apparently you can't access CF dress regs thru internet...I will check at work if I have time)

As Armymedic stated it depends upon your ribbons/medals or lack thereof.

Mine definetly are not 1 cm above the ribbons but the tailor might have boobed.  The things tht bothers me is if you have a second row of ribbons and are wearing medals it looks screwy.

Anyways dress regs are on the DIN.

so what are the actual measurements?  i cannot find the dress regulations online.

i am not in the military, just trying to get this done as a gesture to my friend.  it is a suprise so i can't ask him, can someone plese just tell me the measurements for the para wings?  it is the last thing i have to get done. :(

How many medals does he have? There has to be room between the bottom of the wings and the top of the pocket so that the ribbons will fit. If he doesn't have medals like me at this point, then it's something like this; on one of my tunics the pilot wings are touching the top of the pocket, on the other tunic they're a little less than a cm above the pocket. The point is, my two tunics aren't the same and if no one on here knows the exact measurement, odds are he won't either.

except from Chapter 3 Annex C

forgive me is there are spacing problems...

as you see, my first response was inaccurate. (not wrong, just inaccurate)

so 0.6cm above the ribbons?

Aw, geez ... and I was just thinking to myself "... a quarter inch sounds so much more meaningful than 0.6 cm ... "
