Kindofish...

Right up until your last paragraph.
Do I know what he is doing? And do I trust him? No to both. But, do U know that he is a moron that isn't working a plan? Also no.

We know they didn't think this (recapitalizing the oil sector) through. There's reporting they are trying to bully the oil sector to get them to invest in Venezuela, making recovery of losses from nationalization conditional on substantial investment in Venezuela. They really didn't expect the oil majors to be so reluctant.

Sorry mate. Freudian typo there.

That was supposed to be "Do I know that he is a moron...."
Fat fingers and a failure to proof-read.

I don't know what you know. I only know what I know.

Cheers.

I found the letter rude and offensive
Why would I vote for a political party currently being run by this man ??
I find it hard to excuse his behaviors and he is driving me farther away from supporting the Conservatives.

Some positive news on the manmade sun front.

Not to be confused with fission (splitting of atoms), fusion is the combination of 2 atoms.

Progress. But 600 million neutrons isn't as many as people think. But hopefully, they are on the path to sustained reaction.

It’s not the quantity but the previously inactive high neutron density that is being developed and measured in this effort. Scale follows.

I don't blame the oil companies one bit. Why pour billions into a country and system that could turn on you in a moment and have political and military support disappear in an US election?

Name me which countries that have the largest oil supplies that don't have a US military base in them?

I wonder how this will effect the market.

Makes sense from an Iraqi perspective.

Of interest, of the 10 countries with the highest oil reserves, only one has not nationalised all production: Canada. The US is ranked 11, and from 11-20, only the US and Mexico have not completely nationalised. So basically North American production, in capitalist market economies are the only non-nationalised oil markets. Wonder how long that will last.

Pakistan's solar boom was so substantial that they can't use planned Qatari LNG orders and are trying to resell.

There's now a risk of this happening elsewhere as Chinese PV exports grow.

Apparently China needs oil. Who knew?

Plan A - Venezuelan oil
Plan B - Iranian oil

Plan A looks to be a bust
Plan B doesn't look to be overly promising

And Carney is in China next week.

I’ve got no issue selling oil to China.
A simple transaction, occurring daily hopefully, here is my oil at my port, your ship comes up to be loaded and leaves. Repeat daily. No need for any other interaction.
