This has been in the news a few times as it wound its way through the court in typical Canadian velocity. The whole chain of events was intimate partner/ex-intimate partner/relationship related. She doesn't strike me as being all that stable, but that's just me watching the news.Armed police officer breaking into a citizens house and terrorizing them for 15 minutes gets a conditional sentence, no jail, and no criminal record. Always nice to see justice done.
Reading this story I was worried she wouldn't be on some kind of paid leave.
She is on leave and has been for a while. I wouldn't get my hopes up for any dramatic action by professional standards. I suspect she will stay on extended leave until she retires, or is buried in some GHQ job when she only sees her weapon once a year during training.
