Police Officers doing good things

While it would be a good tale, neither the "lawyer" nor the jurisdiction is identified. One clue as the handcuffed woman (it seems to be a "shackled gals" fetish thread) is led from the courtroom by deputies is the county shield for "Hamilton County, Ohio". The county seat is Cincinnati. Comparing the deputies' uniforms to those on the Hamilton County Sheriff's website indicates that they are from that department. However, googling multiple combinations of scenarios returns no stories about Ohio female attorneys sexually assaulting multiple clients. Not that there aren't lawyers throughout the United States who have sexually assaulted clients,

Edited to add

The woman wasn't a 'despicable lawyer', but an equally despicable school counselor.

Despicable indeed.

Wonder much the School Board will get sued for.

Just when you think you've heard it all . . .

I thought that sort of thing only happened on TV . . .

Meanwhile, Jerry ...

Catherine Galliford, the RCMP officer who launched a sexual harassment lawsuit against the force, dead at 58

Galliford, who died Friday of cancer, made headlines for civil suit alleging sexual harassment in RCMP ranks

It takes a lot of guts for someone to stand up against a police force, knowing there will be social, personal, financial, and professional consequences for doing so.

They paint a big fat target on their backs, and depending on whether their CoC are good people or not, they can be subjected to some pretty dark & cruel games.

Sad to hear she died - and died so young!

The police service in Edmonton is taking exception to the Crown making a plea arrangement to manslaughter to what should be a trial and conviction for 1st degree murder.
We need to see more of this - and in particular more shaming of the Crown for their poor practices in perpetrator accommodation...

"It is trite law that the Crown does not win or lose,” Hankewich concluded. “But what we expect from the Crown — what you and the public should expect — is that the Crown is a zealous advocate for justice. Unfortunately, so far, we have not seen that in this case.”

Well then... this is interesting. lol

I was really hoping to see a picture of the impounded vehicle on the back of a tow truck. Some tow operator now has a story to tell his kids and a yard will be making some easy impound fees income.

Then again, the driver gets to explain to his daughter. 'You did what with my car?'

B.C. court records can be publicly searched online. He has a fair bit of criminal history, including a prior criminal impaired in B.C. (they do most of theirs administratively, or criminal). So, there’s that.

Even on a toy vehicle, someone impaired on a public road presents a danger to other vehicles reacting to something unexpected and stupid.

By the pure letter of the law, the offence appears to fit based on what’s reported. I’ll be really interested to see if B.C. crown actually approve charges.
