So at the UN, the βleader of the free worldβ voted with the following countries against a resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine:
Russia
North Korea
Belarus
Sudan
Hungary
Nicaragua
Niger
Burundi
Eritrea
Central African Republic
Well done. They must be awfully chuffed with themselves.
Iβm sure someone will be along soon to tell me that itβs all a part of Trumpβs βgrand planβ or β5th dimensional chessβ play to defeat Russia or some BS like that.
This page collects ISW and CTP's updates on the conflict in Ukraine. In late February 2022, ISW began publishing daily synthetic products covering key events related to renewed Russian aggression against Ukraine.

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" forum on February 23 that Ukraine produced 2.2 million first person view (FPV) drones and over 100,000 long-range drones in 2025 and intends to increase its drone production rate in 2025.[11]"
- Would translate into a burn rate of just over 6,000 first person drones a day....
"Zelensky stated that Ukraine produced 154 artillery systems in 2024 and intends to increase production of artillery systems in 2025"
- About a dozen a month. Would be interesting to get a sense of how this would compare with Russia's production rate.
"Zelensky noted that Ukraine funded 40 percent, European countries funded 30 percent, and the United States funded another 30 percent of Ukraine's domestic defense production in 2024. Zelensky stated that Ukraine intends to fund 50 percent of its domestic defense production in 2025."
- Assuming that Ukraine hits the 50% mark and the Euro's stay at 30%, that's still a 20% (1$ out of every 5$) shortfall that needs to be closed.
"Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian long-range drones can strike targets up to 1,700 kilometers deep in Russian territory."
- If the Ukrainians can scale this up substantially in 2025, this has the ability to cause deep, long term pain/problems for Vlad.
"Budanov stated on February 23 during the "Ukraine. Year 2025" Forum on February 23 that half of Russia's ammunition comes from North Korea and that North Korea has started large-scale deliveries of 170mm self-propelled artillery system and 240mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
- I would expect this % to grow accordingly throughout 2025.
I recall the days in the FRY when CANBAT was affectionately known as βCANβT BATβ
If we think the current GoC is going to deploy anything that can hurt anyoneβ¦.
Iβm skeptical.
In a dramatic shift in transatlantic relations under President Donald Trump, the United States has split with its European allies by refusing to blame Russia for its invasion of Ukraine in votes on three U.N. resolutions seeking an end to the three-year war.
I'm a little surprised that, with the flurry or EOs and his stated distain for the rest of the world, Trump hasn't told the UN to go find another home. It's mere presence attracts funny speaking furriners who are probably all terrorists anyway.

Well not shocked on OMFV (though it is currently called MICV), no idea what is being smoked on AMPV, as it is needed for the ABCT's as the M113's have been retired.
No shock on the Stryker Brigade divestments as they generally sucked in Ukraine - about the only Western piece of kit that didn't meet the muster (admittedly those only had RWS with M2 and Mk19, no Cannon versions supplied), and they are too heavy to do their original intended purpose.
PIM is very disappointing as that is major requirement for the M109's
Maybe you should ask all the conscripts what they think of ongoing war?
The irrational bleating in this thread is over the top. If all youβre going to do is speculate on mean tweets and sensational headlines, youβre in for a rough term.
