So I have my medical coming up and have a few questions for those in the know/ those that have gone through it.
1.) A while ago (2 years) I went to the doctor complaining about lack of energy, motivation etc. I thought it was low Iron or something but blood work came back fine so he sends me to a shrink who basically asks if i want anti depressants, I say no because I don't feel depressed, just run down. The psychologist suggests I join a depression group at the hospital, I go to a few sessions, find out its not right for me and stop going. That's the end of it, I've done nothing since, had no symptoms and am now pretty sure that it was due to over training (working out twice a day prepping for a spartan race). Obviously I will mention this when the question is asked at the medical, what I want to know is will it limit me or slow down my application?
2.) I have used prescription orthopedics. They were optional and I no longer wear them because they didn't help. Basically I was getting shin splints, my mom swore by her orthopedics so I got a pair ($600) and used them for 6 months then stopped when I bought trail shoes that they wouldn't fit in. I have been going a year and a half without them and no problems. Is this going to be a limiting thing?
3.) How in depth do they go into medical records? I find that looking at my prescription history I get an antibiotic once a year for an annual sinus infection. It's 5 days a year then done, is this something that would potentially pop up?
That's pretty much it and I know that some of these issues have been addressed but I couldn't really find anything about the orthopedics that applied to me. The depression question is more about it slowing down my application, will they ask for a doctor's note, will I have to track this shrink down? I just really want to get in by August as I heard the next (DEO) training past Aug. is in Jan and I really don't want to have to wait a year. So I'm hoping these things won't slow my application down significantly.
One more question would be if anyone has a list of the questions they ask so I could potentially get all the relevant doctors notes etc. prepped up (I know there's a specific form but it takes forever to get in to see my doctor so getting an appointment in advance would be preferable).
