Introduction
In support of our 100 years of service commemoration, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light
Infantry has been authorized to wear the historical white on red shoulder insignia. Fig 1.
Regaining this lost tradition will be amongst the most memorable of all 100th Commemoration
events. All serving members of the Regiment (LCol and below and Tier 4 CWO and below) will
be authorized to wear the shoulder insignia on their DEUs from 07 Aug 2013 to 01 June 2015.

Tailoring Specifications
The PPCLI shoulder tab is centered on the sleeve in-line with the epaulette and sewn along the
top seam of the sleeve where it meets the shoulder. Fig 2.
DEU
The wearing of the shoulder flash replaces the brass PPCLI identifier currently worn on the
epaulette. Additionally, the ‘CANADA’ badge worn the DEU tunic will be removed. Fig 2.

So, how many PPCLIs have considered that they need to order new DEU as removing the metal tab will leave the holes in the shoulder flash?

The holes aren't visible if you're wearing Oakleys.

Problem solved.
