pre/ppst course leave???

I have heard rumours that 4 days of compensation leave, (2 before and 2 after) a course lasting more than 30 days are to be given?? true or false?? Where can I find the reference for this? my other question is if the pre 2 days where not given, are they applicable for a 4 days after course total?

I believe there is a CANFORGEN on that but I am not sure of the length of the course.  Also, be reminded that these days are granted at the CO's discretion.

First I've heard of this, I know that you get 2 Ann for every 30 Days worked.

For most courses leave is added to the end date of the route letter

Yes you are entitled to request these days off, 2 before, 2 after. At CO's discretion of course. Any good supervisor would know this and should point you in the right direction if you ask.That is their job, to take care of their troops welfare and wellbeing.

In the CANFORGEN it is written that the CO WILL not AT CO's DISCRETION


If you do not take the days, you will most likely lose them.
