Not having any military experience I was wondering what does the position of Lieutenant-Governor mean in the armed forces.
I understand the GG being the CinC, but do military personnel need to salute the Lieutenant-Governor also?

Thanks!

To summarize. Welcome to Army.ca, start reading.

The Lieutenant-Governor is a Vice-Regal Officer and as such rates a salute.  That's a freebie.

To add to John, the Lt-Gov is also entitled to the vice-regal salute, an aide-de-camp (usually a militia officer from the area), and also may decorate soldiers, airmen, and sailors with certain orders....

Thank you for your replies,
My apologies for not reading everything I should have when I registered on army.ca.
