hi everyone ,  hopefully I'm posting in the right section ..

I just have a quick question, currently I am doing my BMQ with the reserves, I'm Infantry but would like to change to Support Clerk.. since both do the BMQ, should be a problem to change from Infantry to Support Clerk ? If so what's the best way to do it?

Any advise is very much appreciated ,

Thank you

- A unit would need to have an opening for RMS clerk. Not a given.
- Your unit would need to agree to you changing trades. Not a given.
- Whatever unit has an opening for a clerk would need to pick you above other applicants for it. Not a given.
- You would need to submit a request through your chain of command to change occupations.

Talk to your section commander.

No problem. Be prepared for a 'no' on any one of those. Your unit has hired you to be infantry; you definitely haven't done close to enough yet to actually have a real idea about what the infantry is really about. They may tell you "you signed the forms, and we've invested the time in you to send you on course- you're infantry, or you can release". Or there may simply be no local units with an opening for clerk. There aren't often many positions for new clerks in reserve units.
