I guess violence by anti-violence anti-war protesters are okay as long as it is against the evil empire...seems to me that they do more than discuss.

I have to agree that it is ironic that antiwar protesters would use violence.  I also see similar irony in many things (to long to list)  however I do know that in every group  that protests they tend to attract a "freak" element.  Not so much attached to the goal but the means. 

I saw this in Alberta when there were a bunch of anti-educational cut protests.  The protests were peacefull,  until a new group showed up who were only looking to start Sh.... stuff up.  Suddenly every rally was an excuse to break glass.

I don't think that this is typicasl for this group.

The only sort of protest of a recruiting center here in Canada is put on a regular basis by MAWO in Vancouver. A 'successful' day for them is having more than 25 people show up. Don't think they have ever vandalised the Vancouver CFRC, that would require them putting down their chai-latte tea.

*Interesting tangent*
Vancover has more Starbucks than anywhere else in Canada, that I can think of. There are even more Starbucks than Tim Hortons on the Wet Coast. I have seen these Hippies with their Grande and placard protesting the CFRC last time I went back home. I guess they don't seem to care that Starbucks is probably the most exploitative coffee company in the world.
