I'm currently a CIC officer but am looking at doing a little shuffle into the affiliated reserve unit (infantry). I'd like to know what training is available to me if I joined the ranks, and then if I join as an officer. I'd like to know if some qualifications are the same for both NCO and officer, and if it's possible to qualify for any NCO course as an officer? I ask because I've been shooting for many years and would like to see if I can get any military qualifications in that field or any others as an officer.

Those links should help. There is a CI in the Corps I work with. He is an ex enlisted guy from my Regiment. He just received his Commision and is becomming a CIC Officer now. From what he tells me, this BMOQ he will be taking soon seems like the same one as the Military's. Confused though, I believe he said it was only 9 days long, so perhaps I have some misinformation?
