RCMP Charges CAF Members For Trying to Start Anti- Government Group- July 08/ 2025

Or they are pushing it because an armed group paranoid about the government hidden within the military is a bad thing.
Yea, that too.

Then again the fools were Van Doos, how much damage could they do? Aside from themselves.......

Tin foil hat again. The CBC is really pushing this story because they are pissed (PISSED!!!) that the CAF is getting a massive boost in funding and they want to government to pull that funding back.

Always Sunny Reaction GIF
And is that also why CSIS went to police saying, “hey, this is something you guys may want to work on”?

LATE ADD: A LOT of media are playing it up big because, 1) they had to ask the court to release the documents, which it did, and 2) there's a shit-ton of detail. Haven't been able to find a PDF to share here - but a lot of outlets "obtain" documents and don't share the whole doc.

Flood of coverage in English and French via Google News here.

As you will no doubt recall, 1 CDO played a big role in helping to remove a whole regiment from the order of battle. I'd say that's alot of damage...

And that was due to PM Chretien seeing a old video of members pf 1 CAB being dumb and assuming it was a recent video and made a spur of the moment to disband the unit.

Imagine if the reverse-onus for granting bail to people charged with terrorism offenses (i.e defence has to prove why they should be granted bail) was applied to violent offenders in Canada. People like Karolina Huebner-Makurat would probably be alive.

Bumped with the latest: three choose trial by jury, one still no choice yet, back up in front of a judge 19 Sept.

Also, for anyone interested, here's the PDFs of the material released to the media last month. Caveats: LOADSA material, and it's all in French.

As always, according to Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms, "Any person charged with an offence has the right .... to be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal" - none of the allegations have been proven in court.

Really? As I sit here on a weekend trying to catch up on school, you’re gonna tickle me with a terrorism Search Warrant ITO written in my second language?

You’re a sick, sick man.

If it's any comfort, it kinda deflated my balloon finding out it's only in French. But at least the courthouse didn't charge me for it, so I'll take that. Will share it on our French side for those who CAN read it better than us :)

Good pre-reading if you ever want to work with INSET in Québec.
