RCR in London Ontario

I am interested in joining the RCR here in London. I wont be able to join until next september. I want to know How long is the waiting list if any? How hard is the test? What should I expect?

Why dont you guys call up the recruiting section for the regiment there and ask?  I dont know if there are many reserve RCR types here but i'm sure the recruiters would be glad to answer your questions.

Well heres my story... if it will help you at all.

I was hoping to get into the summer BMQ where I live up north around Owen Sound... there Reserve unit there is the Grey & Simcoe Foresters... I was too late for them and would have to wait until the sept. BMQ...

So I called London office, and dropped in today...

Basically they said I have a slim chance of getting in before the 26th shipping date... but I was willing to try and so are they.

So they booked me up for this coming Tue for medical and testing.... and the helpfull staff said if all goes well with Medical I would be in on Thursday of that week for the Fitness test.

I was told that basically its down to time now... if we can get the paperwork done, and everyone crosses their t's etc ...... the only other problem I was told is being kitted out in such a short period of time, as it all depends on how quick the individual reserve unit is at kitting out!

ah well, i am really hoping to get in for this summer.... wish me luck.

and just drop in or call them if you are wondering about any of that, if you get in by tomorrow you might be in my shoes too!

Your going to be doing some driving to and from London!................what is it, about two hours???

ahahha... yea my eyes are pretty tired after driving there today...

no its more like 3 hours ... without any OPP beind me

and yea, truthfully if i can get in for the summer bmq, i dont mind at all having to drive 6 hours for a few days to get in... it'll be worth it to me.

Are you just starting the application process now? Because I am extremely curious to know how they plan on getting you loaded for BMQ/SQ when it starts in 2 weeks. If you can get in, all the power to you! I will most likely see you there.

Yep, opened my file yesterday (thursday) had all the documentation input, my tests are booked for tuesday 15, then my medical on the 17.

after that its up to the unit to get my kit together, they said thats the problem... if they're slow
