yeah, I have this crazy streak that makes me want to pass along knowledge I've gleaned in order to prevent others from making my mistakes, and becoming better soldiers, sooner. It's a fault, but I can't seem to shake it. I've tried laying down until it passes, but it don't work none.

I have a few more items in my repertoire than just my eyes

Oh and I have found that advice is often wasted on those who do not wish to receive it...that's how I got over the infliction to share what I have learned with the masses...I offer on request now...

I disagree. I receive fairly regular pms from wannabes and FNGs saying that the tons of crap I spew out has helped them. And if it only helped one person, or prevented one injury, those hours of typing were worth it.

I can't tell you how much I dig having some troop pm me from his first day at his new unit, or on her graduation day, to tell me that they used my advice to success. It's almost as satisfying as seeing the li'l buggers on parade. ('Cept then, I could jack 'em up for something, which is always fun for the whole family!)
