Ridiculous blizzard in Saskatoon yesterday.  Please, people... DON'T ENTER AN INTERSECTION YOU CAN'T CLEAR!!

Whole city was gridlocked, and if everyone just waited one more light cycle, it would have gone way better.

Global warming my arse!  When is it going to be available in Saskatoon?  Will it be taxed?  What is the US to Canadian conversion  on it?

You bet your western ass it will be taxed! This is Canada, dammit! We tax anything and everything!

Well... it was apparently -47 here (with Windchill)  in Winnipeg last night. My car was plugged in for 16 hours straight and did not start this morning. That may have been the fact that I could not physically turn the key in the ignition as it was too frozen to move. Gotta love Winnipeg.

Balmy 11 degrees here today. Might go down to 4 or 5 tonight. May have to dig out a coat and gloves for tomorrow.

I have overcome the Alberta cold, with a block heater, coolant heater, battery heater and electric interior heater, all rigged to a timer, to guarantee frost free and comfortable starts,  even when it is -30.

But the one that really counts, is the dipstick heater. None of those other things stop your oil from turning to mollasses. Cold oil is the hardest thing on your engine.

As for the lack of snow here (southern ontario) or at least the very little we have had so far. I find myself missing it for a change.

Fun ain't it? Ours is pretty lengthy but the real problem is when it drifts.

I'm pretty impressed with my car.  ;D Haven't plugged it in once and have had no problems with it starting this winter, even with our crazy Alberta weather.

It's not even the starting sometimes, its the lack of traction as well as problems getting through snow and or out my driveway.

On my Sunday night drive from Lancaster Park to Wainwright last week, I hit the blizzard at Tofield and almost complete white-out at Viking.  It cleared a bit at Irma.  Fun to watch idiots pass then realize the lead ain't all it's cracked up to be.

GO!! For shame!! Isn't the idea of someone from out west, using SYNTHETIC oil, some sort of sacrelige? ;D Better not say that to loud out there. They'll tar and feather you and banish you to Ontario!
