Rememberance Day...my thoughts

This Remembrance Day , where will you be
will you be at the Cenotaph standing with me?

This Remembrance Day, will you be thinking of me
I gave my life so you could be free

This Remembrance Day, while heads are bowed
will you pray for me in words out loud?

This Remembrance Day, after the trumpets have played
will everyone remember the sacrifices made?

This Remembrance Day, veterans young and old
have memories I wish I had been told

This Remembrance Day, will you shake the hand
of a person in uniform that took a stand

This Remembrance Day, its not just the old
that fought for freedom and were so bold

This Remembrance Day, will you shed a tear
for soldiers on tarmac’s, and the pipes they hear

This Remembrance Day, where will you be
where ever it is, remember those who fought to keep you free.
