Interesting situation on the Chief Military Judge's website.
Apparently, today a court-martial has been convened for one Maj Rompré of the Régiment de Maisonneuve (see http://www.forces.gc.ca/cmj/calendarAug_e.asp and http://www.forces.gc.ca/cmj/chargesheets/rompre.pdf).
At the same time, there was a 2004 court-martial of a Maj Rompré of the Régiment de Maisonneuve (see http://www.forces.gc.ca/cmj/year2004_e.asp and http://www.forces.gc.ca/cmj/sentence/2004/2004ecm058.s.pdf)
Given the nature of the current charge ("S. 127 NDA, wilfully did an act in relation to things that may be dangerous to life which act was likely to cause bodily injury to some person or damage to property."), and that the prior court-martial was for NDs in theatre, I'd be curious to know whether the new charge is a dusting off of issues from the previous cort-martial in 2004, or an entirely new set of circumstances.
