I am currently applying to the Armed Forces Reserves, and have put down two choices on my application, Military Police and Infantry. I am hoping on getting on with the RCMP, and perhaps the Military Police. I've spoken to the recruiter with the reserve MP unit in my area, and am interested in that. However I am also interested in the Infantry as well. Can anybody give me the pros and cons with going with either, as well as how it may help a person wanting a career in law enforcement?

Thanks for the help.

I have heard that you cant do both

Not at the same time you cant- but you can leave the RCMP for the MP's and vice versa. There is no reason why you cant.

Well, my main goal is to become a mountie. I might consider the Military Police in the future. However I was wondering what the pros and cons were between the infantry and military police reserves, and how they can help in a career in law enforcement.
