Has anyone replaced a waist line string on the old combat shirts? How did you do it? Have a shirt from the 1980s and missing the line.
Spoken from someone who never has done it. Can I PLEASE hear from someone who actually restrung a combat shirt PLEASE!?Put a safety pin on one end of the string and feed it through the fabric channel.
I take it yo never done it either.Alternatively, you could feed a wire coat hanger trough, and then tie the string onto the end of that.
I take it yo never done it either.
Well, I was going to make the same suggestion since I’ve actually done before, but you can go piss up a rope instead.I take it yo never done it either.
That would be a feat in itself.Well, I was going to make the same suggestion since I’ve actually done before, but you can go piss up a rope instead.
Anyone seen the hole where the string goes in and the path it takes knows that what was suggested will not work. they are not sweats or jacket hoodies. So rather than explain why the suggestions won't work for you, you instead dismiss people with boots with more years of service than you have alive.
Good luck in life .
There are multiple versions of combat shirts. There are multiple sizes of safety pins.Anyone seen the hole where the string goes in and the path it takes knows that what was suggested will not work. they are not sweats or jacket hoodies.
oh and by the way, served from the start of the 80s through the 90s.So rather than explain why the suggestions won't work for you, you instead dismiss people with boots with more years of service than you have alive.

combats are not the same as sweats which all the suggestions would work. waist cord is not like the hillbilly strap around sweatpants or the cord on hoodies. if anyone did it on combats would know it with out anyone saying itWell, I was going to make the same suggestion since I’ve actually done before, but you can go piss up a rope instead.
Tough decades for waist coords…oh and by the way, served from the start of the 80s through the 90s.
I cut them off. I hated themTough decades for waist coords…

Stop asking if your not going to listen.Anyone seen the hole where the string goes in and the path it takes knows that what was suggested will not work. they are not sweats or jacket hoodies.
How much time in do you have? Many of us wore that old uniform for a long time and know it cold. I suggest you knock off the dismissive attitude and start listening.combats are not the same as sweats which all the suggestions would work. waist cord is not like the hillbilly strap around sweatpants or the cord on hoodies. if anyone did it on combats would know it with out anyone saying it
