Hi there,

Welcome to army.ca.

Don't want to cause a ripple in your thread, but the vote you have will not really aid you in your search.  Best that people respond to the thread, then follow up with pm so you can exchange information.

Contact the Saskatchewan Military Museum, and Keith Inches should be able to head you in the right direction.  I believe they are in the Regina phone book?

May I suggest this link from the Army.ca site:

It lists the contact address for Regimental Headquarters and perhaps a letter to them explaining your father's situation and what he is looking may yield some insight from them. They would certainly be aware of at least a viable contact for what you are are seeking and would be able to advise as to whether/where pictures on personnel enrollment are archived.

Hope this helps in your search.

Ah. Mr. Dorosh is aware of a viable contact for you.

The Regiment might be able to help also as armyvern points out, but the museum is a better bet.  Also try Gregory Salmers, who runs the site for the South Saskatchewan Regiment -

It's a different regiment, but he is big on Saskatchewan WW II history and may be able to help.

Bev,

Assuming you are researching a WW II vet, PM me and I can put you in touch with another RRR researcher I know who has digital copies of the Company photos from early 1944.  She is attempting to identify all personnel in the photos, so you may be able to help each other.  To my knowledge, photos of individual Army personnel have not been archived, either in Ottawa or Regina, so you may have trouble with that part of your search.  Keith Inches (mentioned above) would be the best hope for material preserved outside those channels.
