this might not be the place to post this, but hey, time to spin the wheel

my name is pte bowser A.L, i'm with 2 RCR and i'm on task force 1-07, its been about 7  months sense i finished DP1 in meaford.

i don't have a question, i don't have a poll.

but i just wanted to say thanks, to the instructors i had on my course, if i had a DIN account i would have emailed them personaly but oh well.

if it wasn't for you guys, i'd still be in meaford or worse i'd be out f the army.

i wasn't top cannidate, i wasn't the most fit, and was always the last one in the run. but i'm heading to afganistan and doing the job i was taught to do by you guys and i'm proud to do it,

and i'm sure i'm not the only person who wants to say thank you,

to those of you who are going to meaford, listen to them, they know what they're talking about.

so thank you agian, and wish us luck

Bless you, son.

Keep your head (and your ass!) down, and remember what they taught you.

Good luck soldier.

It's nice to see a post like that from time to time.  With what our Forces are going through in Afghanistan, every NCO in the training system deserves a special thanks.  It's you guys who are giving our young soldiers (myself included) the skills to go into battle and survive.  I know personally many NCO's in the Armour School would want nothing more than to be in Afghanistan and I'm sure it's the same in the other School's.  I know I remembered many little things my instructors taught me in Battle School that I've carried with me for 5 years and have been able to pass it on to younger guys.  To anyone who has ever instructed our young troops -  :salute:

Regards

Shokuten,

Congratulations and good for you. It's not always about who is the fastest or the fittest. It's about who's got the heart and determination to finish and complete the task. It looks like you are well on your way.

Best wishs, come home safe. My thoughts are with you.

Vern
