Hi Tamara,

I think it's great that you're trying to help your Grandpa reunite with his old army buddy.
Have you tried a Canada411 search for this gentlemans name, just to see what comes up?

You could also perhaps try contacting someone from the Legion? I think their website
address is www.legion.ca.  Explain that your Grandpa requested this as he wants to reconnect.
Maybe they can at least advise you.

I helped a gentleman reconnect with his best buddy (RCAF) a couple of years ago. They
hadn't seen or spoken to each other since 1945, so it meant the world to  the man I was
able to help. He's  88 now I believe and finally fulfilled his wish. ;) His "bud" was his navigator ...
and his bud passed away not long afterwards, so the timing just worked. I hope your Gramps
is as fortunate to connect and that its not too late.

Cheers

If you are looking for an old gunner, try going to the RCA website at www.artillery.net

They have connections with many, many gunner organisations and might be able to linky you up with someone who can help you out.

They also house a good number of archives, and perhaps you can find a better photo.

Good luck
