Semi-skilled?

I have 4 out of 7 semesters of a mechanics (automotive) program done and i was wondering if i go in as a Veh Tec ( if they take me) will i be semi-skilled and be eligable for a signing bonus?

I have a similar question. I have a B.A. in Criminal Justice and half way through a M.A. in Criminal Justice. If I apply for an NCM MP (811), would I be considered â Å“qualifiedâ ? to be eligible for the rank promotion incentive? Or does â Å“qualifiedâ ? mean prior work experience as a police officer?

One question first...  For rank promotion, wouldn't you rather do the DEO (Direct Entry Officer) as an MP officer?  They will accept your degree for the DEO program, if you want that route.

I considered DEO but, with no offence to anyone, I figure that a NCM MP will be more hands-on exciting compared to an officer. I was told that I could transfer to an officer later if I choose.
