Shortage of Field Caps in the System?

Hey everyone, I just got my CADPAT today but was not issued a field cap. Anyone know if theres a shortage of them in the system or what?

Every one i've seen get issued CADPAT, got the feild cap, or bush cap, or boonie hat.

What? lol. I only take a 7 5/8 lol. I have no field cap of any sort at the moment. Only tuque and beret. Ah well, as long as I have it before BOTP, it's all good.

I got issued mine no prob 8 or so months ago because no one else had a head as big as mine! ;D

Did they tell you they didn't have any in stock or was it just an oversight? If they told you they didn't have any in stock, just go back again later, if they still have none in stock, just ask for an older style field cap. If any of your instructors on your course have a problem with your hat, they'll get you a new hat while on course... that being said, you can only bring what you're issued, so they shouldn't have a problem with it.

Sig Op, I don't need to worry about course instructors at the moment. I can likely run up to CFB Kingston and get it sorted out. If not, I will probably be able to get one at the Mega. But like I say, it will be a number of months before I need it.

If you're going to St. Jean for training, then  I wouldn't worry about it. Bring what you're issued, if you don't have it, they'll sort you out.
