Should MAT instruction be the exclusive domain of Cbt Engrs?

Just one arseholes humble opinion here, but I agree with the fact that other cbt arms are absolutely capable of teaching MAT.  If we opened the MAT school facet in CFSME, and trained individuals from other trades on how to instruct MAT, it could also raise the level of awareness alone because there would be MAT instructors embedded in each regiment, troop, whatever.  I think it would be an excellent idea.  Maybe by doing this, you would have people around constantly who could take those who care for the privacy of trees or tall grass and give them the flogging they so sorely need, and the lecture while doing it.  :threat:

However, we are still dealing with the CF here, and realistically what would happen is that the course would simply be weeded out after a few years due to budgets and bureaucratic bulls**t (if it even happened) and everyone would be able to teach it without any formal trg at all (in turn lowering the standard).  Maybe incorporating it as a portion into the new PLQ program could be an option?  Have an engr teach it there?  Just a thought.
