Steamers

I'm late to the game on this one. Apologies.

Looks like a 'Wedding Cake' at the top - different antenna diameters for different frequency ranges - definitely a temporary fit based on it being in the middle of the flight deck - so - maybe a precursor system to the CANEWS? The shack with a fitted AC system suggests electronics gear inside as well.

Tail end of the time for the IRE/DDH's, they were used as test-platforms for systems being designed for the Frigates. IE Fraser used as the ETASS platform, which ended up 'becoming' CANTASS. (It's more complex than that...)

ADLIPS and LINK 11/14
CCS-280 was installed on board the two Annapolis-class frigates as part of their DELEX (Destroyer Life Extension) modernization. CCS-280, then, is a small-ship NTDS equivalent, roughly contemporary with the German SATIR. The Canadian Navy described it as the first operational micro-electronic tactical data system for shipboard situation assessment and control.
Reading up on the steam destroyers I noticed Jerry Proc’s website states the Annapolis-class got CCS-280 as part of their DELEX. Is this true? Other sources like Wikipedia say the Annapolis-class only got ADLIPS like the rest of the steam destroyers.

Jerry Proc’s site also has a ADLIPS block diagram which shows ADLIPS could control Anti-ship missiles. Were the Harpoons integrated into ADLIPS as part of Terra Nova’s and Restigouche’s Gulf War refits or did the Harpoons remain an isolated, independent system?
