Anyone have any good tips on how someone could stretch a pair of 9 1/2 EE danners so their more like 9 1/2 W ?
Is that beyond the scope of possibility?
They just need a slight width increase

Why not turn them in and get the right size?

There is the "HOT WATER" treatment.  Soak them in hot water and then wear them until they reform to your feet.......like forming your beret.  ;D

Another option if the hot water doesnt work is to take them to a shoe maker. I had a pair of jungle boots stretched by my shoe maker. I think it cost me about $10, I was very happy with the results.

If they have a non-removeable Cambrelle lining, I'd be reluctant to soak them in hot water.  I had a pair of Matterhorn's that had the non-removable Gortex bootie with Cambrelle lining, and I got them soaked (in a knee high swamp) in the DDT Area in Gagetown, wore them for several hours that way (we were doing dismtd recce ptl's so didn't have spare's with me) and I found the lining never really was the same after that and the comfort level was degraded about 25-30%.

Flawed if you EVER figure it out let me know! I want to squeeze into Danners too :(

Are there any places on KAF I could take them to get them fixed?
MAT techs are magic but somehow I dont think even they can stretch boots huh?

There's a spray on application called 'Shoe Stretch' made by Tana. It can be found in various stores where you get your other shoe products, cremes & polishes. Mostly in the area of the womens' shoes likely. Spray on a healthy application, wear til dry. I've used it on golf shoes and 1/4 wellingtons and it works well. Doubt if you can find it on KAF though ;) Some shoe makers have expandable shoe lasts that they can put in and stretch the leather. Likely the treatment that Phil B had done to his.

Awesome thank you very much!
I picked up a pair of the converse zippered assault boots at the PX but man oh man are they built weird. Danners are much more comfortable and don't feel like moon boots.

Do you think that shoe stretch will degrade the durability  the leather though?

Didn't ever seem to bother the shoes I've used it on, and one pair is about 15 years old.
