Hi guys I completed my application around the starting of february and I also sent in my documents but on my application I applied to go right in from high school, and then it so happened that I received an unconditional offer from a college that is recognized by the forces for the paramedics program. I was wondering if would be possible to call the people at the CFVRC and ask then to switch my application to the NCM-SEP and my profession to medical technician, is this possible or did I majorly mess up?

You need to talk to the Recruiting Centre as soon as possible, there are too many factors that no-one here has visibility on. For example;

a.  Is there space in the trade you want to move to?
b.  Did you achieve a high enough CFAT score for the new trade?
c.  Will your interview need to be redone to cover the change of program?

There's a lot of moving parts and only the people controlling your file can start to answer your questions.

I actually haven't done any of the tests or the interview, should I contact them as soon as possible?

Well, would you like to leave it to chance, or try to get some kind of control of the situation? ;)

If you want to change your application, you have to do it.  The CF won't read your mind.  So, yes, as Michael O'Leary already pointed out, you should get in touch with them sooner rather than later.

You can ask to have the entry scheme changed, who you ask will depend on who has your file (North Bay or your local RC).  Also some Recruiters/MCC's may be reluctant to change it until after you write the CFAT, to make sure you actually passed and qualified for your trade, and to give them a chance to actually see you have an offer.  In essence you can ask, but they will determine when to change it.

I would call or email them.  Personally, I think you're probably too late at this point in time but it never hurts to try.

My guess would be in a few weeks.

I'm thinking so too, it would make sense if they expect any of the recruits to do BMQ before their first year of school. Next BMQ starts may 13th and runs untill august 15th.
