There's a LOT of people named McKay or MacKay in remote FNs in northern Ontario who speak English as a second language, so the legacy continues

Along with Harper, Linklater and Rae. Hudson's Bay and Northwest Cos supply ships from the UK regularly made their final stops in Scotland, including the Orkneys and Hebrides and would often take on young men for work in the factories (posts/forts). Depending on the voyage, they would also stop in Newfoundland and pick up kids from there, most of who would be of Irish decent.

Step/line/clog type folk dancing has a lot of their roots with the Celts which spread out from Europe. Variations naturally happened along the way.
