The Emerging CAF Deep Sense-Strike Complex

Not sure if people have recognized the emerging strategy behind CAF acquisitions that focus on long range sense and strike.

Sensors. AEWC, OTHR, CDSEA, DESSP

Shooters. Eventually we'll have HIMARS with PrSM, RCD with TLAM, F-35s with JASSMs.

By say 2036, the CAF will have a multi-domain deep sense and strike complex with the ability to acquire targets and prosecute them at substantial ranges (easily greater than 300 km).

Something to consider for discussion.

It's a capability class normally reserved for more substantial powers. I bring it up because with all the doom and gloom sometimes, or the focus on drones, the actual strategy is lost in the noise.

With that said, I have direct experience in 12 Wing, watching a “garage build” situational awareness tool out perform the tool designed, built and delivered by a big contractor, for hundreds of millions of dollars.

We can actually buy the software and keep data in Canada. When SSC gets their act together and finally builds the classified cloud.

That said, my homebrew is being used to brief the General's CUB. So I'm quite happy how it turned out. Better than fucking PowerPoint.
