Their prediction is a ban on the SKS and Ruger 10/22 by end of February 2025, magazine limits of 5 rounds on everything mag fed by end of March' including bolt, lever, pump action long guns and handguns and a full handgun ban by end of July.

I still haven't seen anything on the "enhanced licencing" the Minister is alleged to have mentioned anywhere yet.

No plugs. As per what was passed under C-21 magazines will have to be modified to accept only 5 rounds in a manner that is not reversible. That will probably include fixed magazines like the .303 Lee-Enfields and tubular magazines like the Marlin model 1895 (popular with T-Rex hunters) and pump shotguns as they are the favoured weapons of awful gun owners "with issues".

Tin foil time.

Western nations are due for a large terror attack, similar in nature to the Oct 7 event but likely worse due to lessons learned and softer targets. Police would be overwhelmed, military takes time to deploy. Open borders and loose immigration screening have facilitated entry to thousands of bad actors everywhere. AQ has trained thousands of terrorists and have already funnelled them into western countries. Russia and China have assisted this.

How does this relate to firearms prohib?

Due to police being overwhelmed, an armed citizenship would reduce the impact of this kind of assault. But taking guns out of the hands of citizens makes these attacks much more successful. Oct 7 was the test run, some knowledgeable folks are saying more are already planned and in the operational stage.

Western politicians pushing firearm controls are useful idiots for adversarial countries (we already know there is influence). This is about disrupting the West. Division, disarmament is a strategy to maximize the damage to come. Terrorism is the tool and is facilitated by Russia et al (due to Ukraine etc).

Yes, they can. An OIC can prohibit almost anything.

As of today, centrefire semi-automatic handguns are limited to 10 rounds. Centrefire semi-automatic rifles are limited to 5 rounds.

The Nova Scotia Mass Casualty Commission report recommended a blanket 5 round limit for all handgun, rifle, shotgun magazines regardless of the type of action (semi-auto, pump or lever). That's what Poly wants. That's what Poly will get.
