I wouldn’t call it Carney’s ban, he never made it, just inherited it.

Somewhat of a poor gift choice from Turkey though. Most western nations leaders would be unable to actually accept the gift.

It's a FU gift and designed to show off Turkey's gun industry and cause a ruckus with the leaders at the same time.

The whole world is talking about Turkey's growing arms industry from these gifts. It is working exactly as intended. The publicity from this could not be bought from many other ways.
