Does this mean that Prince William and Duchess Kate won't be taking their planned trip to Australia/NZ this April?

Queen Elizabeth II down to her last million as the Royal palaces are ‘crumbling’

The Queen’s finances were at a “historic low” with just £1-million left in reserve, MPs said.

Her courtiers were advised to take money-saving tips from the Treasury.

A report by the Public Accounts Committee found that the Queen’s advisors were failing to control her finances while the Royal palaces were “crumbling.”

MPs said her advisors had overspent to such an extent that her reserve fund had fallen from £35-million in 2001 to just £1-million today.

Hard to say.  The money that the article is talking about is what the UK taxpayer provides for the maintnenance of the Royal Family and its associated properties.  The Commonwealth Realms do not contribute to this.  Royal Visits to Commonwealth Realms, however, only occur at the request (and financing) of the Realm in question.  In other words, Australia is likely paying for Duke's and Duchess's trip.  However, I'm not positive because I'm not sure if a visit by the 2nd and 3rd in line for the Throne is considered a "Royal Visit" in the strictest sense.

I didn't think they were taking George with them.
The 2nd in line to the throne is visiting, and many people suspect Charles won't be King for long. William will be King in most people's lifetime. It is considered a Royal visit, and I believe that Australia will be paying for it.

I'm sure that having a net worth of nearly half a billion dollars helps her sleep at night.  Don't worry too much she'll be fine...

Here's a simple breakdown.
