Another thing to consider is Russia isn’t mined and fortified to a insane level, unlike Eastern Ukraine. This is likely the only actual way to do manoeuvre warfare as everything else is so fortified it turns into a game of attrition.

Essentially a 2024 schlieffen plan.

Oh I bet they’re gonna be droning the shit out of reinforcements.

Ukrainian OPSEC has been superb, which largely means we’re only getting reports and BDA from the Russian side. That also means we know little about Ukrainians losses because the FEBA has successfully advanced in most areas and kept the battlefields under Ukrainian OPSEC.

Likely. There’s nobody in the world now with more experience than Ukraine in the use of SOF in a modern conventional peer war. And with how much of their population has now been fighting for a couple years, they have a lot of experienced troops from whom to skim the cream.

The force generation of Ukrainian SOF in the course of the conflict would be an interesting study in its own right.

apparently there are some pretty significant Ukrainian Air operations going on in Crimea occupying a bunch of VKS aircraft.

Added in that the Ukrainians brought a bunch of Short and Medium AD with them on the incursion.

As well as it appears that Zelensky has asked Biden for the okay to ATAMS Russian airfields within range of Kursk.

Who knows what types are on the front lines, probably all kinds of ex-western SOF guys who just want to shoot and not deal with PACE notes and APS.

Yup. If we are abbreviating Ukraine it’s either UA or UKR depending on if we are going two or three letters ISO standards.

Definitely talking a bit out of his ass. He claims that Ukrainian forces have a cyber team that is scouring the internet and removing any information that could help the Russians. The problem is, cyber teams, even the good ones, don't have the tools to penetrate social media and remove posts.

Maybe - will leave that to the experts (maybe @ryanmcbeth can shed light on how) but they can use bots to dump enough claims of {whatever violates the rules on that site} to trip the algorithm that blocks the user or deletes the post. The Russians have been doing that on various media to shut down or demonetize many pro Ukrainian youtube channels for months now.
