The War in Ukraine

Some time back I posited the use of 'carrier' or 'mothership' drones to extend the range and communications links to attack drones. Seems like they are now (publically) operational.

Even secondary sanctions are no good if they are not enforced. And Musk could very easily geoblock them as soon as they crossed the border. Which of course he won't unless forced to.
Which would geoblock all Starlink dishes located inside Ukrainian borders, which seems like something UAF would have an issue with...

My God but we're good.

Man's inhumanity to man.

Just another version of a old weapon going all the way back to Greek Fire

Still frightens the crap out of me. The number one way I don't want to go.
Frightens the crap out of everyone. It’s telling in the aftermath of WWII a war that saw basically every horror weapon available to man, the only thing that they really wanted banned was flame throwers (which Canada notably didn’t sign on).

But would it really? Each dish has s unique digital id. You would not be blocking the transmission/reception of signals by the network for any that were 'tagged' with the (in)appropriate GPS location but only the subset of those that were not registered to Ukrainian users (vetted) based on the individual Starlink dish identifiers

I'm sure SpaceX is turning off illegally obtained dishes but to think they're going to actively scan their network on a minute by minute basis is absolutely silly. Maybe instead of worrying about Starlink on Shaheds maybe we should focus on the supply of actual Shaheds

Agreed on supply of guidance components, they are already building in country.

Disagree on 'scanning'. Only needs a simple line of 'if then else' code and a look up list

A wider view of the conflicts and inter-relationships. I stand by my assertion 2 years ago that we are witnessing the early stages of WW3. Unfortunately many are too close to the trees to see the forest.

I couldn't agree with you more mate, especially the analogy of being too close to the trees to see the forest.

When we look at the bigger picture not just I'm terms of current geopolitics & hotspots, but we also take a step back & look at a stretched out timeline of where this could all potentially lead, WW3 is certainly one of those places

(Would it be WW3 or WW4, since I've heard a lot of people refer to the GWOT as WW3?)

That being said, there's a lot of factors that are either in play or coming into play in the near future that could steer us away from WW3. Either way, the next few decades are going to be extremely interesting for Earthers.

It is a subscription service. They already actively gatekeep who can access.
