Maybe have them design a 4x4 LAV to replace the TAPV, in whatever role that is supposed to be. It's been done in the past.

It's also the worst configuration for any sort of offload mobility. If we want a good LAV frame, look no further than the Coyote. Anything older is objectively worse.

The vehicle is a TAPV driven backwards. Where the TAPV has the engine in the rear and offset to the left the Piranha has the engine in front and offset to the right.

Where the tunnel in the TAPV is wasted space the crew sits in the Piranha tunnel.

The Piranha configuration leaves the entire rear compartment clear and permits easy egress by door or ramp.

The lay out works for a small scout car or light support weapons.

More comfy than an ISV. Comparable to a JLTV or Senator for mobility and deployability. Except that it is also amphibious and could probably be configured with a double V hull.

Don't take it up against a Leopard (1 or 2).

Better options exist in that category though. This is medium bde type kit, since having an armoured IFV/APC to transport kinda negates the purpose of a light formation, ie not airmobile or airdroppable (just because Americans drop vehicles all the time, doesnt mean we should). In a medium formation, this is too lightly armed and armoured. You'd be better off with a LAV 2 or LAV 3 type platform at that point if you want wheeled platform lighter than the LAV 6/Boxer weight range. It's all about the armoured triangle (well, octagram or nonagram now in some of the RCAC stuff coming out, but i digress).

Also, ignore the TAPV, it's dogsauce beyond its very narrow intended role (COIN MRAP) and is universally hated in the cbt arms. Hopefully they're replaced with a proper light cavalry vehicle going forward and are almost never serviceable anyways.
