Tim Conway - Passed Away at 85

My heart is broken.

Probably the greatest straight man in TV comedy ever. How he managed to keep his composure at all time, and especially when Harvey Korman was just completely falling apart beside him is beyond comprehension (remember, in those days, it was live shows and in front of an audience too.)

RIP Tim!

I can watch the dentist skit over and over just to see Harvey Korman TRY to keep his composure.

RIP Tim!

In fact, they were live to tape, twice for each episode.  After the first run through (where Tim would stick to the script) he'd ask the director if he got what he needed.  If the director let him know that there was a good take recorded, Tim would go wild in the second taping.

I was watching Tim Conway clips on youtube tonight, including the famed Elephant skit.

The man was a comic genius!
