Well, i can tell you from experience that my team from my regiment has a posting under military current issues (something like that) under military support for breast cancer. We've actually gotten about $450 from people on this site & we have to each raise $2000 for us to participate in the event. You can try here. Another good tool is email everyone you know & have them pass that message on to people in their address book.  Having raffles, car washes, garage sales (perfect time of year for that now!!).  Keep harassing people, in a NICE way of course, until you reach the limit. Lots of ideas out there!  ;D

Good luck!

I have been accepted to attend a National Youth Conference, Representing youth from around our Community.

At this conference, I will be joining over 100 other young people from across Canada to get to know each other and to discuss mental and physical health Issues. We will focus on what we, as young people, can do to create a better future for all children and youth.

We hope to make recommendations for change and to implement them in our communities when we return home. Throughout the conference, we will examine the issues and record out recommendations which we will present to leaders in government, business and education. My goal at this conference, which is my 8th one is to help the younger youth from are province to get there voices heard at the conference and then to help them implement there plans when we return home.

Thats the poster answer for what i am doing lol

you could also contact your local MPP/MP and ask them if they would be willing to donate and/or ask them about any possible government grants that you might be able to access for such a cause...

The Renfrew County Food Bank has a fundraiser before Christmas. They park a truck in front of the beer store and poster on the side to donate your empties for the food bank. End of the day they cash in all the bottles. The beer store doesn't loose anything and the folks donating don't really miss the coin. Plus it gets publicity for the charity and it raises a lot of money for them when they need it most.

UBC's or empty pop cans are easy to get at schools and with a little work collect and turn into cash at a scrap metal recycler.

Pan handling works great in downtown Toronto, if you have that kinda time. :)

Cheers

Thanks everyone for your advice i have successfully gather all the money i need plus extra for other youth in Canada to come

thanks again

Howie
