is thier an organized boxing league in the forces? and is their an annual tournament. if anyone boxes in the military i‘d appreciate any info.. thanks

There is no organized league in the CF. We tried to organize something in our unit and it was shot down by higher. Boxing is deemed sport with to many injuries (Head/Neck), this would have a negative effect in regards to loss of personnel , pension concerns, etc. People do participate in public clubs but they have to sign waivers and they do it at their own risk.

thanks for the info... i‘ve been boxing for a long time and have never witnessed an injury.. esp. in the amateur ranks with headgear and only 3 rounds. i also grew up playing hockey and have seen many brutal injuries. boxing is a noble sport. that is very dissappointing. oh well within the context of soldiering it is only extracurricular... i thought there would be a golden gloves or something. oh well.. i‘ll play rugby instead.

now rugby is a noble sport
but rugby has a LOT more injuries. o my

Soccer seems to have alot of injuries too, but there is a CF soccer team. My friend got to go to Barbados with them. BARBADOS!

There a number of sports which alot of serious injuries occur. The main reason, I think with boxing, their concern is the main area that the head is hit over, over and over.
