Are these Liberals going to hold their leadership election before the budget vote or is this just another waste of time?

Likely not. It’s entirely up to the National Board to decide when the leadership election takes place. Normally not less than 90 days from when the National President forms the Vote Committee, but the LPC constitution allows sufficient consideration to either expedite to take a period of sufficient duration to ensure that Canadians are most appropriately represented by a Liberal Party leader who represents the fabric of the wonderful country that is Canada….again, at the whim of the National President and whoever (tee hee) is appointed/asked to be the Interim Leader.

I'd love to see a current Team Red MP become interim PM and then promptly lose their seat in the next election and force the Libs to have yet another costly leadership campaign.

Unless they have a backbencher in a safe seat resign and have him run in the by-election.
