My takeaways from what he said: He’s a republican (small r) anti monarchist. Doesn’t think speaking French is important and neither will Quebecers and sees no issue with his rogue meeting with Modi a while ago.

There MAY be some “sick of this guy” Liberals who MAY come back depending on who’s the next coach, but barring “events, dear boy, events,” Team Red should brace for a shit kicking. Maybe not down to 2-3, but enough of a beating to leave the party shaken & needing to clean up its act. OK, maybe I’m optimistic about the cleaning up part

Maybe not down to 2-3, but here's hoping a minority in any case. My other hope on this front is that PP doesn't be gentlemanly, as others in the past, and waive the rules for benefits. Don't give them the majority rights and cash that goes with it. If the liberals need cash, they can use some of the billions they stole from the taxpayers. There is not a perk they are deserving of.

My current guess would be well below official opposition status.
The nation needs a viable somewhat right-of-centre and a somewhat left-of-centre party. A one-party nation would result in even more corruption and incompetence than we’ve been seeing these last few years.
