Trudeau Popularity - or not (various polling, etc.)

I think that if any liberal MP was entertaining thoughts of being re-elected, there is one possibility.

Stand up and vote against the government. Be vocal with their criticism of trudeau and his Ministers. Force an election. Their party colleagues may not like it, but a voice from the back bench wilderness might be what some voters want to see. And in the end, someone with balls to speak truth to a tyrant is just the type of independent candidate voters might want.

Doubtful. Independents practically never get elected. The right MP in the right riding might be able to cross the floor and be accepted by CPC as their candidate in the next election. But that would be a ‘count on one hand’ situation.

The vast gender gap between how Canadians think Trudeau is doing

It is nearly two years old, and people's views on the parties have changed significantly in that time. It was a fair criticism of the poll's usefulness to the discussion in December 2024.

Here is a link to a much more recent and relevant poll.

ok.

Looks like 52% of female voters support Teams Red, Orange and Green.

An 8% gender gap with Team Blue. ( 39% female vs 47% male. )
It comes across as cope when you frame things that way...

There was about a 10% swing toward team blue between the poll you posted, and the current numbers. That's not an insignificant swing, regardless of ones personal feelings about the parties.

Really doesn't matter anyway. PP and the Conservatives are on the path to a majority. What gender votes what way is pointless in the face of that.

The vast gender gap between how Canadians think Trudeau is doing

Little cranky, huh? I was pointing something out that really does matter in contemporary politics. Every new event, speech or day in parliament shapes the views of Canadians. Where I live, I don't know any ladies that support Trudeau and his brand except retired and well off people who "can't be bothered to follow politics" or simply put are partisan. Every working lady, single mother, minority lady, etc all can't stand his brand of politics and will not support him.

I have been singing the same tune about Trudeau since about the fall of 2016 (it was Bill C11 that convinced me this generation of Liberals were idiots).

Yeah, yeah I am an asshole. But I am not partisan. Or narrow minded.

And, I have been hearing you, Rick. Loud and clear. Does being "fired up" over him for a decade get exhausting?

I believe you.

Hope you did not mind me looking up the rest of the country.

Yeah, yeah I am an asshole.

Your words. Not mine. :)

ope you did not mind me looking up the rest of the country.
Please do. In fact, lets take it a step further, forget the pollsters, lets count the only poll that matters. Lets have an election SOONER rather than later, and lets see where the dice land.

Does being "fired up" over him for a decade get exhausting?
Nope. When someone fails integrity, accountability and transparency, I get fired up. Time doesn't matter. Do you give up standing for integrity, accountability and transparency because "its exhausting"?

Swing and a big miss on your part.
