I've been an occasional visitor to this forum over the years, and I don't think we've ever seen some of the forums most vocal Trump supporters really ever doubt their support for Trump. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the maple MAGA community here seems pretty committed to the cause.

We can bring up a lot of concerning points, and nothing really ever changes on that front. It's sort of a waste of effort honestly.

The most vocal supporters have literally never once criticized Trump for anything. When it comes to those members, we already know their opinion before they post. I'm fairly confident we could actually predict their views before they even sign in by just checking what MAGA is saying, tuning into FOX news and seeing what they are saying, and just kind of assuming they support it. Am I wrong?

I'm not trying to attack one here, but just stating the blatantly obvious. Those who are pro-Trump are deeply entrenched at this point, it's possible being pro-Trump has almost become part of their core identity...

And there are those that can understand how he garnered the support he has, and the policies that created that following, and still dislike the man.

Emmanuel Macron has been accused of blocking a €30 billion weapons programme for Ukraine despite promising Donald Trump that Europe would step up its support for Kyiv.

The “enhanced EU military support to Ukraine scheme” was drawn up in response to the US president’s demand for Europe to carry a greater share of the burden for backing Ukraine’s defence against the Russian invasion.

The plan, outlined in a paper seen by The Telegraph, aims to deliver 1.5 million artillery rounds, precision-strike missiles, air-defence systems, drones and provide training for Ukrainian recruits this year.

It will likely be raised in talks between Sir Keir Starmer, Volodymyr Zelensky and 16 other European leaders at Lancaster House in London on Sunday.

The EU hopes it can convince member states to commit to raise between €20 billion (£16.5 billion) and €30 billion in support for Ukraine.

“Each MS [member states] will be assigned a financial quota of XXX (minus the EU contribution outlined below) according to their current GNI (gross national income) key,” the document, marked “EU limited”, reads.

France’s contribution to the scheme would be around 16 per cent of the entire fund, which means Paris could be on the hook for around €4.8 billion.

Governments sell war bonds in exchange for cash. Governments sell treasury bonds in exchange for cash. In both cases, the point of the cash is to fund government expenditures.
 
To change the channel a bit, it seem the Trump administration is reversing the re-naming of some military bases. Former Fort Braff, then Fort Liberty, is once again Fort Bragg; just not the Confederate officer Bragg.

I don't like Trump. Understanding his path to power requires understanding why voters chose him, and that usually means understanding why voters are disaffected and who they are disaffected against. Refusing to acknowledge let alone fix the causes of the effect is pissing into the wind. Not enough people are able to step outside their own frames.

If the Europeans don’t step up and do something sustainable, this could mark the end of the western coalition, the standing for a rules based society.
The thin veneer of society will be scrapped away and the Visigoth’s are coming.

Doesn’t matter what long-held belief they have, if Trump throws it on a bonfire, they are just as quick to jettison it and say they never believed it in the first place.
