Playing with numbers

So I can buy a GJ of energy as electricity for 25 CAD or I can buy it as natural gas for 2 CAD.

But the Natural Gas also supplies me with 55 kg of CO2.
I can send that to atmosphere and have the government charge me 4.40 CAD as a disposal fee
Or I can capture the CO2 and scrub it up to sell to the food industry for 55 CAD.

So. Spend 25 CAD for 1 GJ of electricity and have no byproducts (-25 CAD)
Or. Spend 2 CAD for 1 GJ of natural gas and have the energy plus 55 CAD from the sale of by products (+53 CAD)
