Not even trying to pretend to be a democracy anymore. This is a guy who wants to wield more political violence.
There's nothing to worry about Mills Bomb. It's perfectly normal presidential stuff to call in the military after Portlands mayor ordered police NOT to arrest protestors, including illegal aliens, for breaking the law because arresting illegal aliens could violate the cities sanctuary city status.Don't worry, our pro-Trump crowd will be by shortly to bring us back to earth, nothing to worry about, all overblown. Perfectly "normal" presidential stuff, this post wasn't actually Trump but was in fact the Left-wing media blowing things out of proportion again.
I’m curious what due process was applied in firing them? Was it disciplinary? Performance? This will definitely be challenged in court, I’m curious whether the firings will hold up.I'd have to agree with this decision ...
FBI fires agents photographed kneeling during 2020 racial justice protest, AP sources say
The FBI has fired agents who were photographed kneeling during a racial justice protest in Washington that followed the 2020 death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, three people familiar with the matter said Friday.
The bureau last spring had reassigned the agents but has since fired them, said the people, who insisted on anonymity to discuss personnel matters with The Associated Press.
The number of FBI employees terminated was not immediately clear, but two people said it was roughly 20.

This. Despite the at will nature of most US workplaces, you still can only be fired for legal reasons, and there is a very high bar applied to dismissal for gross misconduct.I’m curious what due process was applied in firing them? Sounds like at the time and in the moment that was a tactical decision to deescalate. That likely means it was a decision taken by someone at the supervisory level.
I don’t think anyone can plausibly claim there’s not an obvious potential political motive in the firings. Firing someone generates records and communications. Discovery on this one could be spicy.
I suspect there’s a fair bit of rules/law around federal employment which FBI falls under.This. Despite the at will nature of most US workplaces, you still can only be fired for legal reasons, and there is a very high bar applied to dismissal for gross misconduct.
One extreme, now opposed by what some regard as another extreme. There's nothing to worry about Mills Bomb. It's perfectly normal presidential stuff to call in the military after Portlands mayor ordered police NOT to arrest protestors, including illegal aliens, for breaking the law because arresting illegal aliens could violate the cities sanctuary city status.

It's easier and more effective to put on shows that encourage people to self-deport than to go through the (expensive, time-consuming) processes required to forcibly deport them. The saltier the show, the more impact it has.Kinda seems to me like its BS and there's really no reason to go there right now.

So where between "let the rioters riot" and "call out the army" is the preferred position? You forgot “When the Dems did it, it was worse”.

Ive seen some reports saying 400,000 and others saying up to 2 million people between forced and voluntary deportions. The Trump administration has deported about 100,000 to maybe 200,000 according to various sources.
People are there illegally.I would really like to hear a convincing argument of why it's necessary to go into Democrat cities right now.
Trump has talked about going after Democrat cities. New York, LA, Chicago. Typical posturing playing to his supporters.Considering how few illegals they've actually managed to deport so far, why doesn't Trump focus on deporting illegals from the red states? Those are the people who voted for them to be removed. If these illegals are really such dangerous criminals, would you not focus on removing them from the cities where your voter base lives in order to keep them safe?
