Either they somehow thought the mayor of NYC had some power/influence over them and needed to vote against it, or they thought there was also elections taking place in Kentucky and we're ready to vote without having any idea of who was running and for what. Either way...

A loss at SCOTUS will remove one tool - arguably the most potent - from his tariff toolbox. He of course has others. But this is also a critical case in the separation of powers between different branches of government.
