Fair. But, quantity has a quality all its own.With no requirements for precision or even tested airworthiness, and hence dramatically cheaper. It is like comparing a Lambo to a 1976 K5 Blazer.

Shermans versus Tigers and the west learned the wrong lessons from WW2.It seems pretty clear that there’s a place for exquisite systems, but that they need to be in conjunction with the ability to mass fires with lots of ‘good enough’ so that worthy targets aren’t neglected.
What lessons, one wonders. That having a lot of armoured formations based on a handful of organization templates and with a few equipment types and a lavish logistical tail is better than having fewer formations with bewildering assortments of domestic and captured equipment that are constrained by fuel and ammo shortages?Shermans versus Tigers and the west learned the wrong lessons from WW2.
