My forlorn, perhaps naive hope is that the wilder, more outrageous, egregious, and unpredictable his behaviour gets, the harder it will be for any "spiritual successor" to slide in next and carry this torch.

If they actually are a moderate in comparison- I can live with that.

We could handle 47's aims with 45's pre-loss acquiescence to institutional and international norms + a healthy dose of reasonableness.
