My forlorn, perhaps naive hope is that the wilder, more outrageous, egregious, and unpredictable his behaviour gets, the harder it will be for any "spiritual successor" to slide in next and carry this torch.

So far the bombs are going off everywhere but under Trump - including those four unfortunates who had the ill luck to be named in a document because they were part of a police lineup and a halfwit Congress member read their names out - and all the "files" indicate so far is that Trump was one the people who separated himself from Epstein early on and spoke openly about Epstein's unsavoury habits.

So the falling out after a decade+ close friendship happened well before the wide proliferation of email/text and other digital records. Surely that means that nothing untoward happened between 1987 and 2005 and the relationship between Epstein and the weirdo that has been found civilly liable for SA and liked to hang backstage with his underage beauty pageant girls was an innocent book club. Keep clinging.
